Teb's Troops' Fourth Annual A Call to Arms

Please join us at Forty Five Degrees on April 25, 2009, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.!

The evening will include a strolling dinner with a selection of Executive Chef Rob Koeller's favorite wines and beers at one of Indianapolis's premier restaurants in the heart of the art and theater district on Massachusetts Avenue.  The event will also feature live music by Chad Mills.

To add to the excitement, we will again have our ever-popular silent auction…which has always been known to bring about some friendly competition amongst the guests! The items are sure to attract even the most timid bidders.

If you have any questions about the event or if you are interested in volunteering or donating an item for the silent auction, contact the Indianapolis Event Chair, Sonia Chen, at sonia@tebstroops.org.

Teb's Troops

Teb’s Troops, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization.  Our mission is to provide hope, help, and support for individuals affected by melanoma.

Teb's Troops was started when Tricia E. Black, or “Teb,” was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic melanoma in 2005.  At the time of her diagnosis, Teb was 29 years old and living in Indianapolis with her husband and 9-month-old son, Sam.  Wanting to rally her “troops” during her war with cancer and desiring to make something positive come from the negative, Teb asked her friends to help her design and sell a bracelet, the proceeds of which would go to organizations that support the treatment, prevention, and research of melanoma.  Although Teb passed in 2006, her legacy lives on.

Since its inception, the generosity of our loyal supporters has enabled Teb's Troops to raise in excess of $200,000, providing hope to melanoma patients and their families.  Teb's Troops has proudly made general donations to both CancerCare and Melanoma Research Foundation and has co-funded three research grants and two separate online support groups--one for melanoma patients and one for their caregivers.
